What Causes Constant Headache And Dizziness?

Constant Headache and dizziness Hello, i am 28 and female, i have been feeling really weird lately and im kind of worried but i dont have insurance. i have been feelinh dizziness almost constantly, constant headache and lack of appetite. i do get hungry but cant bring myself to eat. I cant sleep more tha 1-3 hours and was also having nausea, chills, fever, and shakiness. I was going through some extreme stress for a extended period of time so idk if maybe that was causing the nausea and shaking as it seems to be better the last few days since i left that stressful situation. I was diagnosed as being bipolar as a teen but never really evaluated by anyone, just given med at a clinic. i haven t taken them in a long time as it is usually manageable now that i am older . I haven t slept well in weeks if not more and am starting to experience what may be hallucinations. Example being when looking at a comp screen the ads in the sidebar seem to move when looking through the corner of my eye, last night i had the lights off while surfing the web and shadows seem to make figures.. ive never experienced anything like this but im concerned something is VERY wrong. planned on starting some meletonin today to help sleep.. hoping its just echaustion.. :(

Neurologist 's  Response
Hello,

First of all, if you take oral contraceptive pills, you should ask a gynacologist for help.

Because, Progesterone can stimulate the brain cortex resulting in insomnia and hallucination.

Second, you should measure your blood pressure, besides measuring ocular pressure with an ophthalmologist, because the high level of the female sex hormone can disturb the electrolytes in the body fluid.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Dr/Mustafa, Neurologist
