My 78 year old mother showed me her hands this evening, and they were spotted and mottled with black and blue spots, and in some cases, looked like bruises, in others, looked like blood blisters. She had been complaining that her hands were cold - in fact, one finger turned white for a bit and was numb - until she washed some dishes in warm water. She always complains of being cold - ever since her stroke 15 months ago (November 2013).
