What Causes Cold Intolerance After Taking Keppra?

My husband is on 1000 mg of Keppra daily, 500 in the morning and 500 in the evening. We live in Northern Illinois where it is cold. He keeps turning up the furnace and says he s cold. Is this a side effect of Keppra??? He also has Sjogren s and hypothyroidism. He is on Keppra because of a seizure - not loss of consciousness, but loss of time with a funny taste in his mouth. He is 76 years old.

hi.
thanks for posting query.

incomplete history...
no dosage of medication mentioned that may have been prescribed for hypothyroidism

i advise to monitor TSH levels and dosage of thyroid hormone maybe advised accordingly.
supplementation of thyroid hormone is mandatory and may help to combat cold intolerance.

wish you good health
