What Causes Cold Hands And Feet?

Prolonged cold hands and feet even though the climate temperature has risen. A friend with the same feelings once told me that his doctor diagnosed with something about a capillaries slow reaction time. When my hands and feet finally warm up they stay warm for a long time.

Hi,

Since you have not yet mentioned within how much time the temperature of palms and soles become normal after exposing to the raised climate temperature.

Yes, it is true that the slow capillary action time causes the delay but this is physiological unless proved otherwise and not a disease in itself.

Another reason I can think of is less protection to your extremities by gloves and so on.

Also, keep the room temperature at the optimum of settings for the capillaries to act fast. Do not worry, extra efforts and precautions will solve your problems.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr T Chandrakant, General Surgeon
