What Causes Cold And Cough In A Child?
my 5 year old girl attacked by cold and cough. last year we have taken a blood test. in that test she has eosinophilic count 650cells/cmm.our doctor prescribed montek lc kid tablet for 3 months. after that she was o.k. but now last 5 days she was suffered by severe cold. my doctor prescribed nebulization process by giving asthalin followed by budecort for 2 times (2days)and also he gave advent,ambrolite-s,and omnacortil for 3 days.what is the promblem for my baby?

1. 5 years is not an age to diagnose asthma immediately at one episode of wheezing. It could be either multi triggered wheeze or episodic viral wheeze.
2. If it is first time, no harm in using asthalin as it gives good relief.
3. Asthalin or any of the medications used for wheezing in any route either oral or inhalational do not cause dependency or make the patient prone for asthma.
4. Steroids like Omnacortil will definitely help her recover quickly, but do not use them unless advised by a health car processional.
