What Causes Clogging Of The Ears Despite Taking Motrin And Claritin?
I had a teeth cleaning and exam by dentist about 4 weeks ago. The next day my ears were plugged and remain so. I saw my family dr. about 2 wks ago and she recommended trying 600 mg fd motrin 3x daily and antihistimine. I took Claritin for 7 days with no relieve and tried the motrin but all I was doing was sleeping so only took it at bed time. I am now taking a steroid for 15 days (3 for 5 days, 2 for 5 days and then 1 for 5 days) but still no relief. Some days they are completely plugged and others not as severe but are never completely clearn. Any other suggestion b/4 I return to my doctor.

Visit a ENT specialist.. He will check ur ear, nose, throat and see whether there is any other problem. Do a pure tone audiogram or Impedance audiogram and consult with ur ent surgeon.
