What Causes Chronic Vomiting And Headache After Smoking Methamphetamine?

I smoked meth last night without realising it was Ice, I was told it was speed which I ve never had a problem with. However, ice, I have only smoked on one other occasion and swore I d never again, the side effects for me last 3 days or more. I feel terrible. In the first 24 hours after I can t keep anything down, not even water, and I can t stand up without throwing up. Then in the first 48 hours I still won t have slept, the vomiting lessens, but still just as nauseous and a slight head ache. Now I m entering the 72 hour after stage, my temp still keeps getting high then going back to normal, I can now eat without throwing up but the thought of food makes me sick and I m constantly nauseous. Sleep is starting to come back in small amounts. But it still hurts to even touch my tummy. I want this poison out of my body right now and I want to know if there is any way or anything I can do to start to feel better? I ve eaten some fruit and drank a lot of water.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Looks like you have taken an overdose of methamphetamine. Overdose causes GI disturbances, like nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain. Visit ER, at the earliest.

You are in need of immediate medical attention, oral medications may not work; you need intravenous support.

Neglect will only result in mental agitation & worsening of the symptoms as the toxicity builds up.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Nupur K, General & Family Physician
