What Causes Chronic Pain On The Right Side Of The Back?

Hi,I have had chronic right side/back pain for the past 2 weeks!I have been taking vimovo twice daily for 2weeks!If anything,the pain is much worse! I had spinal surgery 6 years ago and still have slipped discs but I am worried this might be a kidney problems as the pain hasn t responded at all to to anti inflamatories

To allay any fears about your kidney's function, just do a urine routine and microscopic examination and tell the pathologist/technician to look for pus cells or red blood cells. Also if you want to be doubly sure do an ultrasound lower abdomen to rule out any stone or structural kidney disease.. I'm expecting both to be negative though. This so because you have a history of Spine surgery and slipped disks. So if both the tests are OK, take a stronger pain killer like Hydro-or oxy-codone.
