Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your complain chronic pain in the throat while swallowing. It seems you had a tonsillar enlargement and a soreness due to it. The symptoms can also occur due to acid reflux or viral infection. I would suggest you to see an ENT specialist and get your throat evaluated for the exact reason of the pain on swallowing. By the time you should avoid all kinds of spicy and hard food stuff. Take soft and cold food stuffs to give soothing effect to your throat. Warm saline gargles can can help. Also do betadine gargles once in a day. Doctor mat prescribe antibiotics along with anti inflammatory or may recommend tonsillectomy.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
