What Causes Chronic Pain In The Back, Chest And Armpit?

Yea my daughter has been experiencing chronic back pain chest and under armpit pain. Sometimes both of her arms fall asleep and go numb. She has recently been diagnosed with heart block but no one know why or how she has developed it. She is light headed and has fatigue and shortness of breath. She has traveled to Mexico 3 times in the last 12 months. It all started with a sudden heart pain and a visit to the ER with a racing heart. They said her potassium levels were dangerously low. Since then she has had chronic middle back pain, etc.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The chronic pain in the chest along with back and armpit indicates an underlying cardiac issue with referred pain. I would like to do follow up with 2D ECHO and angiography reports for further guidelines.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Purva Patel
