What Causes Chronic Pain And Burning Sensation In The Feet And Ankles?

I am a 51 year old male, medium build. I have had pain and burning in my feet and ankles for 15 years, no diabetes. Along with burning to my feet, my feet will sweat (even if the skin temperature is cool). Walking any significant distance can increase the feet / ankle pain and they can swell. Recently walking can cause my calves to become really firm / hard and sore. Could these symptoms be a result of a vitamin deficiency?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi Thanks for posting on hcm.
Usually these kind of symptoms are seen in diabetics, chronic alcoholics and in vitamin b12 deficiency. As your are not a diabetic and if you are not alcoholic then I suspect it to be vitamin b12 deficiency.
I recommend you to consult a doctor and get examined.
Regards
