General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As the pain intensity is worse (say may be beyond 6-7 out of 10) possible injury to ligament, muscle or nerve is more likely; which will not be revealed on x-ray finding. I would suggest to discuss the need of an MRI of the leg for finding the details of internal tissue damage and manage accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
