Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Chronic Heel Pain Upon Application Of Pressure?
HI I recently smashed my heel on a rock. The impact was very hard. The following day could barely walk. Not much swelling at all or bruising. There is no pain when I push my thumbs into my heal. Slight tenderness when I pinch my heel. But when I put pressure to walk on it I can barely without a limp.
I think you have a sprain of your Achilles tendon. Take a rest. Apply an ice pack. Use compression. Avoid high heel shoes and footwear. Use pain killers. If symptoms not improved, please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
