What Causes Chronic Diarrhea?

This is difficult. Embarrassing Have had thin, gassy, mucous-like (it floats) diarrhea with almost no stomach cramps for almost 2 weeks. Never had this before but have had diarrhea/ irritable bowel syndrome off and on for years, mainly when upset by something. This current stuff is new.

Hello, my name is Dr.Dorina Gurabardhi. I understand your concern.
Some advices that I can give to you are :
-Use over-the-counter options include Imodium (loperamide) and Pepto-Bismol or Kaopectate (bismuth subsalicylate)
-Take frequent, small sips of water or a rehydration drink and small bites of salty crackers.
-Begin eating mild foods the next day or sooner, depending on how you feel.
-Use probiotics
