What Causes Chronic Diarrhea, Recurrent UTI, Blood In Stool And Rectal Pain?

I m a 37yo female, and have multiple issues going on. Over a yr ago, I had a sudden change in bowel habits, and have had chronic diarrhea ever since (3-8xs pd). Over time, and periodic Dr. trips, my WBC has always been high and was treated for a UTI for 4 mo( never any symptoms of UTI) Had blood in stool during an ER trip and was sent for endoscopy..no bleeding ulcers. Sent for US & found what was thought to be a 5mm stone..go back a few days later for prep & it was no longer able to be found. 6mo later, I am constantly nauseous, can t finish eating before I m sick again, flushing , blood every now & then, dizzy, rectal pain ( inside, pressure) and ...worried. Help!

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Chronic diarrhea can be related to different possible causes such as: (1) infection
(2)inflammatory bowel disease such as crohns or ulcerative colitis
(3)diabetes (due to effect on nerves), thyroid disease
(4)food or lactose intolerance
(5)irritable bowels syndrome
(6)side effect of medication

Colonoscopy or barium studies may be needed to take a look at the bowel. Blood tests (checking thyroid and for diabetes) and stool tests would also be recommended.

I hope this helps
