Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I'm 38 weeks and 4 days pregnant and have had straight water diarrhea for three days straight now along with nausea but no vomitin. I have been to the bathroom no less than 45 times in these three days. Should I be concerned? This isn't just a small amount of diarrhea, I feel as though I am living in the bathroom.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of chronic diarrhea and nausea. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like food allergy, electrolyte imbalance, bacterial or viral infection, food intolerance , parasitic infection or inflammatory bowel disease. Need not to worry. Take diet rich in fibres as well. I would suggest you to consult gastroenterologist for proper examination. Doctor may prescribe antibiotics like ornidazole , albendazole , omeprazole along with loperamide . For now eat light and non spicy , eat fresh fruits and vegetables and eat fruits like banana. You should take plenty of fluids to re-hydrate. Take diet rich in multivitamins and avoid any oily sharp and fast food.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
