Hi, My sister is suffering from Diarrhea since long. She use to go washroom 5-6 times in a day. From past 2 days she was also vomiting and feeling dizziness. I think she is affected with Gastrointestinal infection. Could you please suggest some test and medication?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to a gastrointestinal infection. I suggest using an over the counter option to treat diarrhea such as Imodium. I also suggest using daily probiotics such as Enerogermina.I recommend to drink liquids and eat a plain diet.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
