What Causes Chronic Cough Which Occurs After Eating, Singing Or Talking?

I have a chronic cough that used to eventually go away but now it isn t going away. I have gone to a pulmonary specialist who found nothing. I currently am under the care of an allergist who has me on monthly shots and several meds but to no avail. I seem to cough from talking or singing, from eating, from acid reflux. When I get a cold, I immediately get bronchitis. Could I have a nerve in my throats that reacts to eating or talking?

Hello

The most common cause for such cough would be acid reflux. This is quite common and can be managed by avoiding oily and spicy food and medications like omeprazole 20mg. Please discuss this with your doctor.

Thanks
