What Causes Chronic Cough, Chest Pain And Dizziness In A Young Patient?

Hello. I am a 21 year old in the military, I have had a thick mucus (yellow and now white and clear) issue for about 4 weeks. Along with the mucus issue, I have a 3/10 constant chest pain, right over the heart. I got an X ray today, and nothing came back positive on it. I also had an EKG done, that was negative as well. I am also dizzy, confused, and nervous. Any suggestions?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi welcome to the health care magic

You might have early bronchitis or upper respiratory tract infection..
Mild infection might not reflected in chest x ray..

Your work up done with...
-Auscultation
-Blood pressure measurement
-Spirometry if needed
-CBC etc

If needed antibiotic course might prescribed

For cough wet cough ambroxol syrup useful

Take one tsp ginger juice with honey daily

Steam inhalation done

If needed levocetrizine given for congestion relief

Avoid stress as it can lead chest pain

Consult pulmonologoist for examination...

Take care
