What Causes Chronic Cough And Runny Nose?

Hi Dear Doc My daughter (age : 17 months )has a severe coughing problem usually starts at night when she is sleeping. She used Babynol syrup and honey for this treatment. Also for the last 3 days she was having flu i.e. running nose for which I took an advice from a Doc. The Doc recommended me Actifid P. She has recovered a bit but this coughing problem is very persistent and still there for last one week. Kindly give your keen advice regarding this matter. Thanking you

Its mainly because of allergic to some substance...Do one routine CBC count along with AEC...See if the levels are high...if she is having the similar complaints persistently...

some viral infections will last for 1-2 weeks....and maintain hygiene...And give her Luke warm water for drinking and avoid junk food...continue with actifed p and whatever antibiotics you're doc has prescribed...
