What Causes Chronic Cough And Clogging Of The Ears?

Hello, I am having a problem right now. For the last 2 months I have had a chronic mucousy cough and occasional left ear being clogged to where I can barely hear out of it. Also getting migranes and headaches mostly on my left side. Now, whenever I focus on anything with straight lines, they start to shake and almost come at me like a 3d movie. Please help... the pressure behind my left eye is bugging me.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As per your query, you have symptoms of chronic cough and clogging of the ears which seems to be due to lung infection and bronchospasm. Clogging of ear occurs due to eustachian tube dysfunction and you can also experience popping sounds in ear.

I would suggest you to consult an ENT specialist without any delay. Doctor may order blood test, throat swab test and get an x-ray of the chest and Immunoglobulin G levels checked for further treatment.

Doctor may prescribe antibiotics along with decongestants and mucolytic agents. Do warm saline gargles with pinch of salt water. Apply warm dry compresses on external ear and keep your ear dry while bathing. Take expectorants and steam inhalation and take rest.
