What Causes Chronic Constipation And Abdominal Bloating Post Hysterectomy?

My email address is.I am having issues with my bowels. I have constipation all the time and now I am swollen in my stomach, and it goes ito my sides and back. I am having problems in my throat with chocking and horseness. I had cancer surgery a year ago. I had historectomy . I had uterine cancer. I thought this problem I have now might be from scar tissue from the surgery. I dont know. I can taste bitterness in my mouth. I hurt in my back. I want to know what is wrong or if I have a bowel blockage?

I have gone through your query and being your physician i completely understand your health concerns.
For how long you are suffering from it? Any other associated problem? like diabetes or hypertension? Any history of TB in past or exposure to TB? Are u running fever?
If you are passing flatus and faeces then there is no intestinal obstruction. After surgery , there can be intestinal obstruction but you have to be examined first so that you can be properly assessed. you should stay calm and use soft diet . Add fiber to your diet. lactulose syrup three times a day is very beneficial.
Meet your surgeon. there is need to get your Xray erect abdomen , and ultrasound abdomen and pelvis. serum electrolytes should also be done.
Meanwhile stay calm and meet your surgeon.
