I am female, 58 yrs old, 450 #/ rejected by drs for gastric bypass/ bmi 64+, diabetes, hypertension, etc. My ex- husband died of HF and my son found him when my son was 11 who is now 30. I had a dx of HF before - but my PCP often does a fu appt and after listening says my heart is ok - my son says if I have HF my heart is NOT ok. I have been hospitalized w/ HF and at times w/o HF?? I have had ER visits w/ cp and sob and IV of lasix and foley to drain off fluid - my legs lower sock area have chronic cellulitis and discolored and scaley skin and hot/warm I know time is limited What can I tell my son ? Why do I have HF sometimes and sometimes not??
