What Causes Choking Sensation In The Throat While Singing?
Hello, I am a singer, and no matter when I sing there is a problem. For the past 10 month I have experience choking whenever I sing. It is as tho there is something behind my Thyroid causing it. Is the Voice Box back there. I take Pantoprazole and Thyroid meds. And in the mornings I cough my head off
Based on your description of symptoms, it is advisable that you need to consult an ENT specialist for clinical evaluation.
You would need a laryngoscopy done to know if there are any lesions compressing your vocal cords, which is causing the symptoms. Movements of thyroid gland also need to be evaluated. Accordingly, treatment what is necessary can be instituted.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Ashakiran S,
