I started having chills saturday night and later developed diarrhea soon after with cramping. I have been bed ridden since with occasional fever but not high. I haven t eaten anything but A little broth since as it makes it worse. What can this be?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.

Your symptoms are most likely due to food poisoning just remind yourself what you ate that night. If you were my patient I will definitely keep you on metronidazole tablet, acetaminophen and oral rehydrating solution along with ondasetron tablet for vomitings this is how we usually manage in our clinic. But I also suggest you to visit your doctor once because we need to monitor you blood pressure also as you are not eating. If it is low thay may keep you on Iv fluids. Hope you got the answer.

Regards,
Dr.Alekhya.
