I recently have been taking the medication Imitrex first try i had nausea, second nothing, third about 20 minutes after i got short of breathe for about 20 minutes and then was relieved. I had a couple beers with dinner. Next morning about an hour after i woke i started having sharp chest pains with dizziness, short of breath, clumpsiness, trouble concintrating. I went to the er had ecg and blood work they said i was fine. next day still not relieved followed up to find I am potassium diffiecent from the ER test results I was 3.1 two months earlier it was 4.6 doc is puzzled what caused the sudden drop. Also how long until I feel normal again should I worry about my heart and the long term from this event what about my kindeys is there anything you can suggest?

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
No need to worry for major heart or kidney disease because your ecg and blood reports are normal.
By your history and description, possibility of GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease) is more.
It is due to laxity of gastroesophageal sphincter. Because of this the acid of the stomach tends to come up in the esophagus and cause symptoms of nausea, vomiting, chest pain, tightness, pressure etc.
And this GERD is mostly due to stress and anxiety. These stress and anxiety gives you shortness of breath, clumsiness, dizziness etc.
So avoid stress and tension, be relax and calm. Consult psychiatrist and get done counselling sessions. Try to identify stressor in your life and start working on it's solution. You may need anxiolytic drugs too. For GERD take pantoprazole and domperidone tablet.
Don't worry, with all these, you will be alright.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
