What Causes Chest Pain When Breathing Deeply And Heart Rate Increases After The Pain?

Chest pains when breathing deeply? The right side of my chest is incredibly painful when taking deep breaths. It is a sharp, stabbing pain that shoots up my right jaw and can be felt in my right temple. I also have had a slight cough for a month now. It can be incredibly painful. My heart rate will often feel as if it has increased substantially after the pain. The pain will also start for no apparent reason. Bending down and breathing deeply are the two main causes.

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hi i read your query.

The chest pain caused by breathing deeply isn't of cardiac origin. it's most probably due to pleuro-pulmonar origin.

So i advice to run the following exams:
- ECG
- Chest x ray
- Cardiac Echo
- Abdominal ultrasound
- Spirometry (functional respiratory test)

After performing this exams you should consult a cardiologist and pulmonologist for further treatment.

Best regards!
