What Causes Chest Pain Despite A Normal Blood Test Report?

Hi, so I went into the ER a few weeks back due to chest pain, they did a bunch of blood test, urine tests, everything came back normal. They gave me a chest x Ray and showed inflammation but didn t say much more, they gave me 600mg of ibuprofen and that was it. I have had on and off chest pain, with small amounts of mucus that I hack up, no cough and no other symptoms. I m begging to get a bit worried, I thought that it could maybe be a chest infection but for a month now? Seems a bit long to have a chest infection

OB and GYN Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

From the symptoms which you mentioned in your question is suggestive of allergic respiratory infection.

Sometimes allergic respiratory infection persists for a month or two , it can be associated with pain, dry or productive cough but in all cases not necessary.

Sometimes it gets aggravated with things we are allergic to. I suggest you avoid things like dust, fragrances, cold water, smoke.

As it can be allergic only so there's no need to take antibiotics. Drink lukewarm water and wear a mask until the symptoms settle down. You can take Ibuprofen for pain. Rest you don't need to worry about it.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
