Hi there,

Thanks for your query.

The change in the medications is OK. However, Brilinta can cause breathlessness in a few cases, as a side effect.

Further, chest pain/discomfort is a common occurrence for a short period after stents are implanted. Hence, there is nothing to worry about it, UNLESS it occurs abruptly and associated with abrupt breathlessness (which suggests embolisms).

You may apprise your cardiologist during the next appointment. he will examine you and, if required, carry out certain tests to find out if the stents are working perfectly and are patent.

If you find my response helpful and informative, do not forget an “excellent” (5-star rating) to my answer, to ENCOURAGE ALL doctors- engaged in social service- to render sound advice to the FREE queries.

Take care
