What Causes Chest Pain After Taking Advil?

I took one Advil this morning and a short time later had severe pain in the middle of my chest and up the esophagus. It lasted about 10 minutes and subsided. I m wondering whether it was a mild heart attack. I had not had an Advil in about 5 days.

Hi and very pleased to ansqwer you
Advil is ibuprofen, a non steroidal anti-inflammatory drug that are know harmeful to stomach.
your pain is related to gastric side effects of Advil, and you can use Pantoprazol 40 once daily during 10 days to eradicate this gastric inflammation and pain.
if the pain persist after 2 or 3 days inspite of pantoprazole use, you will consult a cardiologist.
best wishes
