What Causes Chest And Back Pain After Drinking Soda?
A couple days ago i was out and about with family on a hot day. As the day went on i started getting really hot and sweaty. After buying a can of Sprite i decided i couldnt wait until i was cooled off enough to drink it, i chugged down 3 big gulps and with each gulp my chest started hurting more and more and i had a shooting pain to my back. This is the first soda ive had in about 3 weeks.
I would say that thse condition may caused by esophageal spasm , this is a condition where the muscles of esophagus have a irregular , uncordinated contraction . The triger of that may be drinking very cold or hot water . When it's to often we have to do examination to look if you have any esophageal dissease ( acid reflux)
Another caused may be from the heart , we suspect it in patient that are old are , if you suffer from any heart dissease ( Hypertension, Coronary heart dissease ).
I would advise to avoid hot drinks and very cold drinks . If it happens very often and the pain don't go away call your local doctor for a further evaluation.
If you have any additional questions please feel free to ask me .
