What Causes Calf Pain?

Hi. I tore my meniscus in my knee in the beginning of June. It is a bucket handle tear and I will probably need surgery. My question is that I have been experiencing calf pain in the same leg for the last two days. Can this be related to my meniscus tear? I am a 40year old healthy women. Thanks
