Hi,

Burps with a bad odor can be caused by several factors, including:
1. Poor digestion: When food is not properly digested, it can produce a foul odor when it is released as gas.
2. Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD): This is a condition in which stomach acid backs up into the esophagus, causing burps with a bad odor.
3. Infections: Certain infections, such as Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection or gastroenteritis, can cause burps with a bad odor.
4. Food intolerances or allergies: Eating foods that you are intolerant or allergic to can cause burps with a bad odor.
5. Pregnancy: Hormonal changes during pregnancy can also cause changes in digestion, which can lead to burps with a bad odor.

To help reduce the occurrence of burps with a bad odor, it is important to eat slowly and chew thoroughly to aid in digestion. Avoiding foods that are known to cause gas or indigestion, such as spicy or fatty foods, can also help. Staying hydrated and avoiding carbonated beverages can also be beneficial.

If your symptoms persist or worsen, it is important to speak with your healthcare provider to rule out any underlying medical conditions or complications related to your pregnancy.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Hi,

Maintain good oral hygiene, brush for longer times, gargles etc., don't drink carb waters, drink more water (banana, citrus fruits, grapes, lettuce, yoghurt if not lactose intolerant are good). If heart burn etc., then you may need special antacids used in pregnancy only, for that you need a gynecologist.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
