What Causes Burning Sensation On The Tongue While Suffering From Acid Reflux?

I have acid reflux and lately I'm experience a burning sensation on my tongue and throat even though I have not had spicy food? I had an endoscopy procedure done in 2016 and had my esophagus dilated very little and everything else was fine. Should I see a specialist for this? I am very concern.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As per my clinical experience, the current presentation suggests possible alteration of sensitivity of buds on tongue due to chronic acid reflux or others.

If it is persistently annoying, I recommend to consult an oral specialist by appointment.
