What Causes Burning Sensation In Throat And Excess Salivation?
My throat has a burning sensation. It is nothing I have experienced before. Saliva seem to gather so suddenly such as before vomiting. It has been an hour and just getting stronger,Please let me know what it might be. I start to worry.Thank you, Maggie
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain burning sensation in throat along with excessive salivation can be due to Laryngeopharyngeal reflux or Silent reflux while if there is also symptoms live burning in chest and belching it can be due to Acid Reflux.. I would suggest you to consult a Gastroenterologist and get evaluated and he can advise you to take Proton Pump inhibitors like Omeprazole, antacids like Calcium Carbonate or Milk of Magnesia and drink plenty of water.. Take soft diet and short frequent meals.. Avoid spicy and acidic foods.. Take more of Probiotics like Yoghurt in diet.. Take short walk after meals..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
