What Causes Burning Sensation In The Penis?

Hi Doctor, I have a question regarding my Penis. I sometimes get a burning feeling on the tip of my penis. I also had some dry flaky skin . I went to my Doctor and he came me 30Gm Taro Mupirocin 2% to apply on my penis I was wondering do I have to apply on the outside or the inside of my penis?

Hello
Burning sensation with flaky skin from pens is suggestive of infection or inflammation of the penis

You should apply mupirocin ointment on outside of the penis
It is to be applied externally

If you can provide me more information like your age and any history of unprotected sex, I will be able to guide you better

In my opinion you should consult a VD specialist for physical examination and a battery of tests to rule out STI

You should maintain good hygiene
clean your penis with antiseptic solution and apply mupirocin externally
