What Causes Burning Sensation During Urination Despite Taking Antibiotics?

My son went Swimming at the beach. Came home with problems like burning when urinating. He went to doctor and UTI was rules out no bacteria in urine. 3rd test bacteria was found. He was put on a antibotic for 7 days. He s still having burning. Sonogram and cat scan were done. Everything came back normal.

Hello. the commonest cause of burning sensation is a urinary tract infection. It is very possible that the organism causing the infection is not sensitive to the antibiotic being given. it will be great to do a urine culture examination and isolate what organism and then targetted treatment can be done.
