What Causes Burning Sensation During Intercourse?

so I'm sexually active with my boyfriend and my only sexual partner, and just recently in the past month or two I've been getting noticeably more discharge which I'm confident I can label as "cottage cheese" like. I've been to a doctor and she took a vaginal swab and tested me for chlamydia but it's been a month now and I haven't gotten a response. how long until I get my result? also, just today I had sex and for the first time I felt an obvious burning sensation during. what could this all be? please help.

There are different kinds of tests for Chlamydia . Most commonly done test is Microscopic examination of the swab which takes few minutes to an hour for the result .

The other test is Culture which is not routinely done . This test can take few weeks for the result to come .

It seems like you are having Infection inn your genital tract and because of that you are getting Burning sensation while having sex . The other cause for burning could be due to less lubrication while having sex. This happens if you are not stimulated enough before penetration.

If you are sure that its not due to Lubrication problem then you better consult your doctor again and ask for treatment for Genital Infection ( preferable an Antibiotic )
