What Causes Burning Sensation And Bruise Above Kneecap?

I had a fall roller skating and bruised my knee just above the kneecap There is a burning sensation with the slightest knock against the bruise but the knee is only stiff due to the swelling The heat has lessened over the last couple of days but no actual bruise has yet developed

Hi there.

You have soft tissue inflammation which is causing the symptoms. Apply ice, keep the limb elevated. Take pain killers. The symptoms shall subside in a week.
