What Causes Burning Sensation After Inserting Gynotran Ovules In Vagina?

why does gynotran ovules burn? My doctor prescribed the gynotran ovules 7day insert ovules but it did not come with an insert applicator, so I have to be using my thumb & finger to insert it, my problem is, after insertion for over 2 minutes, there is a terrible burning sensation... y is that so?

Hello, I really appreciate your concern. Burning sensation is a common side effect of Gynotran ovules. It may be due to the insertion by fingers also. You might have irritated the vaginal wall skin during insertion process. So I advise you to use Gynotran ovules with applicator only. It is the perfect way of administering this drug. If the burning sensation remains for long period e.g. for more than 24 hours then you should consult your doctor.
