What Causes Burning And Itchy Sensation In Vagina Post Intercourse?

After intercourse with my husband I have burning/itchy sensation down below. It s not inside vagina just outside. It happens every time, symptoms occur normally one day after intercourse. I use vagisil cream for a week to calm the symptoms but then after intercourse it happens all over again. Help! I m not allergic to anything. Many thanks J

It may be a mild yeast infection if it is responding to the vagisil.

Though this is not a sexually transmitted infections, in some instances, if a female is experiencing recurrent issues, it may mean that the partner may need treatment with a topical or oral medication.
