What Causes Bumpy Rashes On Ankles, Hands And Thighs Of A Toddler?

My 3 year old son has had some small bumpy rashes on ankles, torso, back of the hands, thighs. All seem symmetrical. But only1 or2 areas happen at the same time. Doctors have prescribed Urea cream and different steroid creams at different visits. All on a trial and error. We don t feel comfortable with using steroids. Do you have any other natural therapy recommendations? It s causing him to wake up several times a night scratching. There s nothing much else we can help during those times except to apply moisturizers. I have scoured the internet but thought to post it here. Please someone help. Thanks in advance.
