What Causes Bruising On The Leg With Soreness And Pain?

I ve had a purple bruise on the back of my right leg and lower buttocks for over a year. It is sore to the touch and when I sit and rarely when I walk. The pain has gotten worse over time, but sometimes worse than others. Is this something I should be concerned about and what specialty doctor would you suggest?

Hi.
As per your case history of bruise on buttock, my treatment advice is -
1. Don't apply any cream or home remedies as it may worsen the condition.
2. Simply apply ice on it twice daily.
3. Take a NSAID like ibuprofen for pain as and when required.
Take a vitamin c supplement once daily for 20 days.

If problem persists then consult a dermatologist.

Thanks.
