What Causes Bruises On Thighs Along With Swollen Ankles And Abdominal Pain?

I have hashimoto s and possibly rheumatoid arthritis. I m currently taking 88mg of synthroid a day. I feel ill on a daily basis, weak, dizzy/nauseated like my body is going to shut down. I have multiple unexplained bruises on both thighs (inner and outer thigh). I ve had recurring pain on the lower right hand side of my abdomen for several months. My ankles are swollen (the lump forms a ring around them) and I have a bump on my foot. My drs don t seem very responsive so I m not sure what to do or what kind of avenues to ask them to pursue.

Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello,

I suggest you to consult your hematologist for unexplained bruises. Other symptoms can be due to fluctuations in thyroid hormone profile. I suggest you to consult your treating physician.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri, Pathologist and Microbiologist
