What Causes Bruised Lump On The Underside Of Forearm?

I pinched the underside of my forearm closing a window, my underside got pinched. There was a pretty big bump, and it has been sensitive to the touch, I put ice on it to bring down the swelling. I didn t think anything of it until I happened to see it in the mirror today, a week later and the whole underside is red and puffed up a little, almost like I broke a blood vessel, the redness is below the pinch spot, and the bump is still there, just not as bad as it was last week. The underside of my arm looks like I laid my arm on a hot stove and burnt it.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that lump formation due to pinching of the forearm while closing the window can be due to Hematoma formation as there might be rupture to superficial small blood vessels leading to accumulation of blood into oft tissues and leading to hematoma formation and bruising..
Pain and tenderness can be due to inflammation of soft tissues due to traumatic injury leading to swelling and pain..
I would suggest you to do alternate warm and cool compresses over the lump..
You can apply Heparin gel to fade the bruise faster..
You can take anti inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen..
You can also apply a numbing gel containing Lignocaine to relieve pain and burning sensation..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
