What Causes Bruise On Leg?

I had a 4 diameter bruise on my leg from wrestling 2 weeks ago. The bruise is gone but there is a small red line maybe a quarter inch in length near the top of where the bruise was that still feels like I am being stabbed if it is pressed. I have no problems walking it only hurts when pressed. Should this be checked out?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, sounds to be residual effects of wrestling incidence. Guidelines to get better recovery:
- Clean the part with antiseptic liquid or soap
- Local application of polymycin or neomycin cream
- Sterile dressing to avoid undue pressure or injury
- Control of blood sugar
- Prescription of antibiotic and anti inflammatory medicine to get faster healing and prevention of secondary bacterial infection

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
