I recently noticed my grandmother has a bruise on her chin. It looks more like a blister thats filled with blood. She did not bump it on anything so im quit curious on what it is. She just had mouth surgery about a week ago to get out some gum tissue out on her lower right jaw, but I dont see how that would relate to the bruise. Thank you!
Hi. As per your case history your grandmother is probably having senile purpura. It is an age related change. My treatment advice is - 1. Take food rich in vitamin c like citrus fruits for strengthening the capillaries. 2. Take a vitamin c supplement once daily for 3 months. 3. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like fusiderm cream twice daily on bruise.
Hope this helps you.
Thanks. Dr. Harshit bhachech. MBBS, DDVL.
