It contains Norethindrone which is a form of progestin. Alesse is a combined birth control pill containing ethinyl estradiol and levonorgestrel. Vaginal itching or discharge, changes in your menstrual periods and decreased sex drive are one of the side effects caused due to this pill. Since you have started it recently, it may take few more days for your body to get adapted for the use of this pill. You can wait for a while for things to settle down.
