What Causes Brownish Discharge After Taking Ipills?

Hi my period ended the day before I had unprotected Sex. I didn't take the day after pill till 3 days later since I spent the weekend with my boyfriend. It's been a week and a day since I took the pill but do day I had brown discharge what seemed like old blood can you tell me what this means. Is it a miscarriage or am I pregnant?

If you have taken the ipills as the instructions(within 24-48 hours of the unprotected intercourse), you should be able to prevent pregnancy.

Withdrawal bleeding usually occurs within 5-7 days of taking the pill, which indicates the pill has worked. Ipills contain high dosages of hormones, that can affect your normal hormonal balance causing delay in periods and other period abnormalities.Wait and watch for your next periods/withdrawal bleeding which would be delayed.

If pregnancy is suspected, look for development of any other new symptoms that suggest pregnancy.
