What Causes Brown Vaginal Discharge After Taking Plan B?

Hi. My situation is complicated. Was on my period Oct. 31 and it only lasted three days, with it ending on Nov. 2nd. I usually have normal periods being 5-7 days. Had sex on Fri. Nov 3rd, and condom broke. Took Plan B Sun. Nov 5th. Had some bleeding 3 days after I took the pill then stopped. Still had brown discharge for 2-3 days and then became light greenish/yellowish. Not thick, just watery and not a pleasant smell. Is this still from the pill or should I see my doctor? Also had wisdom teeth pulled week after and was on medicine for that. I feel there was just too much going on in my body and it didn t know how to react. Supposed to be starting my period again tomorrow, Mon. Nov 27th.

Hello there I have read through your question and understand your concern. It is normal to bleed for Four to five days after taking an I pill. But since you noticed a greenish fowl odourless discharge it is possible that you have developed a vaginal infection. Other associated symptoms can be itching . It can be confirmed by vaginal swab culture. You can discuss it with your gynaecologist. If the diagnosis is confirmed you may have to take a n anti bacterial or anti fungal course depending upon the diagnosis along with local application of a suppository.
